Food glorious food! Good nutrition and hydration is vitally important to all life forms, none more so than the elderly.
Here at Clarendon Care we realise that food is much more than just fuel, it is one of life’s’ many rich pleasures, and essential to the physical and mental health of our residents.
To this end we have recruited David Willson-Lloyd to the group as Group Catering and Hospitality Manager. David comes with over 40 years of experience in the Hospitality trade, having had many of his own restaurants and hotels and has a wealth of knowledge of all things food and drink.
All of our homes have a fully trained Head Chef and Assistants working in very well- equipped kitchens enabling us to provide high quality, nutritionally balanced meals to our residents and their guests.
In addition to our service of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, where all residents have a choice of what they eat. We also serve morning coffee and cakes with biscuits and other snacks, afternoon tea and high energy snacks and fresh fruit available at any time.
Good hydration is an important part of our residents lives and there is always a choice of beverages available, from cool fresh water and juices to milk shakes, fresh fruit smoothies, coffee and tea.
For those residents who enjoy a little tipple, a small selection of wine is available in addition to beers and a limited selection of spirits.
